Born out of exhaustion with the mainstream publishing process and a deep interest in poetry, Knocknarone Press was established in 2017.  It was an exciting new enterprise for Ita O’Donovan, drawing on her work experience before retirement and her passion for poetry.

Knocknarone Press published In Deep Time – Connemara by Ita O’Donovan in December 2017.  Currently not taking submissions, Knocknarone Press’s next publication is Robyn Rowland’s second bi-lingual book (English and Turkish), Under This Saffron Sun, (translations by Dr. Mehmet Ali Çelikel, Professor and Head of Department, English Language and Literature, Denizli University, Pamukkale, Turkey).  It is Robyn’s 11^th book of poetry – see author pages.

Being situated in the west of Ireland, the press supports local, happily working with the consistently kind and efficient Clódórí CL Print, based on the beautiful coast of Connemara.
